Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer Published on September 27, 2016 Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their service vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer. During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be giving 5% of all sales from their pink vans in addition to giving $10 for every heating tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast. This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted two of their vans pink to fundraise for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air raised over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his employees both lost their mothers to other forms of cancer and were moved to help other families. “The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the number of cases is actually going down each year, that still constitutes a huge number of families who are grappling with this disease, and therefore we have a serious need for research and support.” The General Manager of Service Experts of Raleigh, Chris Overton, echoed Schneider’s sentiments. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the leading type of cancer in North Carolina – for both females and males.” To find out more about Susan G.
